AFSAEF's publication (May 2000), "When Natural Disaster Strikes," includes a section on help available to consumers who find themselves unable to make loan payments or other credit obligations in the aftermath of a natural disaster. Also included is a checklist of recommended actions to take before a natural disaster strikes to reduce the stress of coping with expenses afterwards.
